    Program Development Assistant/Sales Support

    Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) specializes in producing large-scale, internationally relevant programs in iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Walt Disney Concert Hall – we are proud to present over twenty events as part of our 2019-2020 Concert Season.


    DCINY is seeking a dynamic and outgoing individual with a driving passion for music who can thrive in a client-facing sales role. A strong musical background is a must (preferably as an area of study at the university level), with previous sales experience highly preferred. Strengths and skills in research and administration would be a plus.
    The Program Development Assistant plays an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the Program Development team, and will specifically assist in qualifying performing groups (both choral and instrumental) for possible inclusion on DCINY’s Concert Series.


    • Assist in development and research of future programming for DCINY’s Concert Series, including liaising with performing artists and ensembles by phone, email and in person.
    • Responsible for correspondence, letters of invitation, and general written communications at the request of the development team.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information of clients by entering and updating data in office software (Salesforce) and also keeping hardcopy files.
    • Occasional availability on evenings and concert weekends.


    To perform this job successfully, the individual selected should have:
    • Bachelor/Advanced Degree in music or music administration or related discipline strongly preferred.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and listening skills. Ability to successfully multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment. Attentiveness and precision with details.
    • 1-2 years of related experience in office environment
    • Computer Literacy: Familiarity with PC platforms and ability to work with MS Office required. Knowledge of Salesforce and/or CRM software a plus.
    • Ability to manage phone and in-person inquiries in a professional, patient, and friendly manner.
    • Fluency in languages other than English a plus.

    Part-Time, Seasonal Production Staff

    Distinguished Concerts International, New York (DCINY) is a leading producer of dynamically charged full-scale choral masterworks, chamber music and instrumental performances.  We are currently in search of highly self-motivated individuals to represent DCINY as part-time, seasonal paid production team members.


    Production Team members are responsible for representing DCINY with the utmost level of professionalism and are integral to the successful preparation and presentation of concerts in prestigious performance venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. 



    • The physical set up and strike of rehearsals and non-union performance venues
    • Transporting any necessary equipment to/from the appropriate venues
    • Attending all scheduled rehearsals and/or performances
    • Assisting with talent flow during concert residencies
    • Offering hospitality to our clientele both in rehearsals and at the post-concert receptions
    • Communicating accurate information from the Production Manager to the performers and artists

    • Flexibility and eagerness to learn and accept direction.
    • Resourceful problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work with large groups effectively


    Ideal applicants have a background in events, music performance, theater, and/or stage managing. Instrumental background, reading music, and/or music librarian work is a plus. Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.


    Hired staff will be assigned to work concert residencies throughout the concert season. Weekend and holiday availability is expected (including, but not limited to Thanksgiving Weekend, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, etc)
