Astana Ballet Theater
The Astana Ballet Theater presents its Gala program, which includes the best numbers from the theater’s repertoire by Kazakh and foreign choreographers. The focus of the Gala is modern Kazakh ballet, which reflects current dance tendencies and trends, while the program as a whole, brings together bold ideas from Kazakh, Russian, and American choreographers.

The Gala program also includes original pieces, such as “Scythian Frescoes” and “Dreams of Kyz-Zhibek”, “Swallows”, and “Almeya Dance”, as well as unforgettable scenes from the world of theater, including premiere scenes. An audience member watching pieces from the ballets “Zhusan” and “Alem” is transported to the Great Steppe, a land untouched by time. The Astana Ballet Gala is a large-scale, colorful, festive event; a true gift for ballet enthusiasts, admirers of the ever young and elegant art.

The music by Kyat Shyldebayev, Karl Jenkins, Kara Karayev, Armand Amar, Stravinsky and Brusilovsky, the mastery of the dancers, the beautiful stage and costumes come together to create a feast for the senses. Viewers will be immersed in an atmosphere of elegance and beauty, and experience the energy and uniqueness of Kazakh dance.
