Gabe Evans

    A native of Kentucky, Gabe holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Education and Piano Performance from Eastern Kentucky University.   There, he studied piano with Dr. Richard Crosby and Dr. Rachel Taylor.  In 2016, Gabe earned his Master’s of Music in Sacred Music and Organ Performance.  During his time there, he was privileged to study organ with Dr. Schuyler Robinson and choral conducting with Dr. Beth Wilson.

    Gabe has been in various musical roles that include Collaborative Pianist, Organist, Choir Director, and Handbell Choir Director for several churches, and frequently concertizes with piano and organ performances. Gabe’s most recent performance series included the 2018 Berea College European Choir Tour, where he accompanied the concert choir and presented solo organ concerts at St. Anastasia Cathedral in Zadar, Croatia and Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Still an active church musician, Gabe is currently Choirmaster and Organist at The Church of St. Luke and St. Matthew in Brooklyn, New York.
