Thank you for your interest in DCINY and performing with Eric Whitacre! We are seeking ensembles of distinction to be a part of these unique concerts. Spaces are extremely limited. If you and your group would like to audition, please follow the steps below. If selected, there is a per person performance fee. Audition Instructions

Choral Groups (10 or more performers):

1. Fill out a contact form with all of your details (choir director or one representative from the ensemble please)
   
   
2. Complete a choral survey
   
   
3. Submit an audition recording of 2-3 selections from within the last calendar year that reflect the quality and musicianship of the group. Upload video or audio files through our YouSendIt dropbox.

INDIVIDUAL SINGERS

1. Prepare your audition.  Make an audio (mp3) or video (YouTube) recording of you singing something in the classical/choral style. It can be your Virtual Choir video or a recording of any kind that features you singing. The music can be with piano or without; it can be classical, opera, an art song or your voice part of a choral piece (sorry no jazz, Broadway or pop tunes).

2. Fill out a contact form with all of your details.

Deadline: A limited number of spaces are available for individual singers of every voice part.  Auditions will be accepted until all singer spaces are filled.  We encourage you to submit your audition today.

Participate in Eric's Soaring Leap Workshop

Eric Whitacre's SOARING LEAP is a dynamic, one-day workshop for singers, conductors and composers. The day includes reading, rehearsing and performing several of Eric's works for chorus (a cappella and accompanied). Singers will be invited to explore the music, digging deep into the poetry and compositional tools. SOARING LEAP is a challenging, inspiring, and exhilarating day, filled with laughter and passion. The day comprises of two three-hour sessions with an hour and a half break in the middle for lunch and refreshments. See more information, including upcoming dates and how you can register HERE.
