We are seeking ensembles of distinction and outstanding singers to be a
part of these concerts. Spaces are limited. If you and your group would
like to audition, please follow the steps below. If selected, there is
a per person performance fee. Details provided upon acceptance.

Choral Groups:
- Fill out a contact form with all of your details (choir director or one representative from the ensemble please)
- Complete a choral survey

Submit an audition recording of 2-3 selections from within the last
calendar year that reflect the quality and musicianship of the group.

Audition Schedule
There is no fee to audition. DCINY will continue to accept applications until all available spaces are filled. Based on past Eric Whitacre events, we expect performance spaces to fill very quickly.

Audition Recording & Requirements
Your audition, 2 - 3 minutes of singing, should present the best qualities of your choral singing, beautiful vocal tone and overall musicianship, especially in the upper and lower register. Select a voice part (i.e. Alto 1 or Alto 2) and pick a song appropriate for your voice in that range. We suggest an excerpt from an art song, aria or classical piece. You may also sing a selection of your own voice part from one of Eric's choral works or another choral work. Please do not submit Broadway, jazz or popular style selections.

At the start of your recording, clearly state your full name, location (city, state, county), and voice part (i.e. Alto 1 or Alto 2) as well as which concert date and city you are auditioning for.
- Record your audition as a video. Check your audition to make sure the audio is great, and rerecord if necessary.
- Upload your recording to Youtube.
- You will then need to insert your YouTube link on our secure audition form which will also request your credit card information. Auditions will not be accepted without credit card details. This payment will NOT be processed unless you are accepted and invited to perform. If you are not accepted, there will be no charge. Should your preferred concert date be filled, DCINY will give you opportunity to select from other available concert dates.

- MP3 audio recordings will also be accepted. Submit MP3 recordings via our YouSendIt dropbox along with your name, voice part and date/city of the performance.
- Singers under the age of 18 at the time of the concert must be accompanied by a registered adult chaperone as a DCINY VIP Patron. This package is $345 and includes prime location concert ticket, access to all rehearsals, including dress rehearsal, backstage access and post-concert VIP reception. VIP Patrons may register online along with performers. Please get permission from your parent/guardian before submitting an audition.
