Coming Soon: Eric Whitacre's Brand New Album -- Light & Gold
Eric Whitacre's debut Decca album, Light & Gold, will be released on October 18, 2010. The album will include some of Whitacre's best-loved choral works such as Lux Aurumque, Sleep, and The Seal Lullaby, as well as three World Premiere recordings. This will be the first time Whitacre has both recorded and conducted his own music. Pre-Order now!

Starting a new season is fun and exciting and the Production Department is looking for new, friendly faces! We are currently hiring new Production Staff members for our 2010-2011 season. We are looking for people who love classical music, are detail oriented, and want to encounter many types of groups and conductors. This is a part time position that has many rewards, including the opportunity to work in Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and Alice Tully Hall. We look forward to any inquiries and meeting some new faces!

2011 Opening Concert -- Tickets on Sale Friday, September 17, 2010
On January 17, 2011, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, DCINY kicks off its fourth concert season. Our opening concert this year will be held at the beautiful and historic Isaac Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall with DCINY Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Dr. Jonathan Griffith, at the podium conducting the music of celebrated composer Karl Jenkins. DCINY will be giving the US Premiere of Dr. Jenkins' latest work GLORIA in addition to his STABAT MATER. We are thrilled to announce that tickets go on sale for this concert on Friday, September 17, 2010. Sing with Eric Whitacre in 2011

We will again welcome composer/conductor Eric Whitacre to the DCINY concert series in 2011, this time for four concerts of his music! On the heels of the critically acclaimed concert in June, we present Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings in Chicago (as a prelude event to the ACDA National Conference) and Los Angeles. Concerts of his choral music will take place in both New York City and Vancouver, British Columbia. Limited spaces remain for choral groups and individual singers. Instrumental Roster Grows for the 2011 Season
It has been an exciting past month in the development department. Not only have we continued to build exceptional choirs for the exciting lineup of choral performances on the upcoming DCINY Concert Season, but we have also been fortunate to bring several outstanding collegiate and high school instrumental ensembles onto the 2011 lineup as well. In 2011 DCINY will be proud to present numerous quality instrumental ensembles from across the country and around the globe. Keep an eye on the DCINY webpage for updates to our season, and for a number of performances that we will be announcing in the coming weeks!
