Doris BrunattiDoris Brunatti, During the current season, Doris Brunatti appears in Rome and Florence, Italy, performing Verdi's Requiem. This is a reprisal of the performance with the American Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. The 2008 season also includes concerts at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City with The Sterling Singers and a guest appearance performing Gates' "Down By the River's Verdant Side" at the National Federation of Music Club's convention. She recently appeared at Carnegie Hall where she performed Vivaldi's Gloria and Duruflé's Requiem. Under the baton of Keith Lockhart and the Utah Symphony, she sang in Mahler's Third Symphony. Of her performance, Utah's Deseret News said "Brunatti has a rich, warm voice, well suited for Mahler" The Salt Lake Tribune described her singing as "warm, rich, and expressive." Possessing a broad spectrum of musical styles, she has acted and sung in the Broadway Musical Nine, in which she had the lead role as Luisa Contini. Additional musical theater experience includes roles in Showboat, Hello Dolly, Brigadoon, Snow Queen, Sweeney Todd, One Touch of Venus, Lady in the Dark, Company, Roberta, West Side Story, and Man of La Mancha. She was a finalist in the New York Oratorio International Competition and winner of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Wolf trap Opera Auditions, and National Federation of Music Clubs competitions. In addition Ms. Brunatti gives master classes, has been a judge for the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, and also teaches privately in Utah and New York City.
