More on the Repertoire
|
DCINY Guest Conductor and Composer Eric Whitacre leads over 350 singers from North America and overseas for this concert event, featuring a number of his most famous and well-received choral works, such as Cloudburst, Sleep and Lux Aurumque. The event features a special performance of What If... from his sell out Los Angeles musical stage production Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings. Whitacre also has a long standing interest and talent for setting literary works to music, which will be on display with Animal Crackers I and II, based on the witty short poems of Ogden Nash. The World Premiere performance of the city & the sea promises to provide equal excitement and insight into the poetry of literary master ee cummings. |
