Houston- based lyric tenor Todd Randall Miller returns to
Carnegie Hall for his debut recital, having appeared with DCINY last June in
Mozart’s Solemn Vespers. In demand as a concert singer and recitalist,
his recent performances include St. Paul
(Mendelssohn) and Choral Fantasy (Beethoven)
with the Houston Symphony, Les Noces
(Stravinsky) with Da Camera Society and the Houston Chamber Choir, and Requiem (Mozart) with the Houston Choral
Society. A 2008 recital tour of American
music included performances at PepperdineUniversity, Sam Houston State
University, Houston Community College, and Lone Star College-Kingwood, where
Miller is professor of music.
A frequent collaborator with living American composers,
Miller has worked with, among others, Carlisle Floyd, Richard Faith, and Henry
Mollicone. He holds a doctorate in voice performance from
the University of Houston, and performance degrees from the University of
Arizona and the University of Louisville.
