Apostolos Paraskevas is a Grammy-nominated composer and guitarist. Classical Guitar Magazine/London acknowledged him as the only guitarist ever to have a major orchestral piece performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall and the international press as the only musician who performed there in a Grim Reaper’s outfit! Dr. Paraskevas, a Lukas Foss protégé of the early 90's has been for decades a multi-published and recording artist. As a soloist and composer he collaborated with orchestras around the world including the ALEA III, Hingham Symphony Orchestra, Hellenic Contemporary Orchestra, Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Odessa Philharmonic/Ukraine, Solisti di Patras/ Greece, Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, National Festival Orchestra in New York/ Carnegie Hall, Orchestra of the Corfu Festival/Greece, Newton Symphony, Wind Ensemble at Berklee College of Music, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Athens Municipality Orchestra, Russica Antigua Players of St, Petersburg/Russia, Florida International University Symphony Orchestra. Thessaloniki Municipal Symphony Orchestra (Greece), the Orpheus Ensemble in Fresno CA, Albany Symphony Orchestra, and the Greek Polytechnic Choir.

Major publishers: Centaur and Bridge Records, Santerrelle Verlag/Germany, Berben/Italy, Clear Note, and PaNas/Greece. He received five First Prizes in International Composition Competitions. His teachers incluse Leo Brouwer and Theodore Antoniou. He is the Founder and the Artistic Director of the International Guitar Congress/Corfu. Major performances with Lukas Foss at Carnegie Hall/New York, Weill Hall/New York, Wertheim Performing Arts Center/Miami, Jordan Hall/Boston, Capella Hall-St. Petersburg/Russia, Athens Concert Hall/Greece, etc. He is an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music.
