Mark Lawlor
Mark is currently Assistant Director of Choral Studies at Oklahoma
State University, teaching Choral and Music Education courses at both
the graduate and undergraduate level. Prior to his appointment at OSU,Mark
was Director of Choral Activities at Idaho State University and
Associate Director of Choral Activities at Arizona State University. At
Idaho State, he taught both undergraduates and masters students and
conducted the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and the 100 voice community
Camerata Singers. While at Arizona State he taught undergraduates,
conducted the University Choir, the 210 voice community-based Choral
Union, and supervised student teachers.
Previously, Mark had
taught at the United States Military Academy and was Chair of the Music
Department at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. He has
conducted for several presidents and his choirs have performed on the
Fox Network, radio and television reaching 24 countries. He and his
choirs have also worked for Mid-America Productions as well as Lincoln
Center Outreach, Inc.
Mark resides in Stillwater with his wife and two daughters.
