Whitacre announces Paradise Lost Soprano Scholarship Winner

Today, Eric Whitacre announced the soprano winner of the Paradise Lost Scholarship competition: Julie Pajuheshfar from Henderson, Nevada. She will join Grammy-Award winning soloist Hila Plitmann as well as a chorus of exceptional singers for DCINY's production of Whitacre's Paradise Lost (concert version).

On his blog, SoaringLeap.com, Whitacre commended all the entrants: "Bravissima! Beautiful, clear voices all around. Sopranos, you most certainly rock the free world."
