Charles Cushinery is currently the Director of Orchestras at Ed W. Clark High School in Las Vegas. He received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and his MME and Doctorate from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Dr. Cushinery, a violinist, has performed with Stephane Grappelli, Larry Coryell, Moody Blues, Barry White, Sheri Lewis, Andrea Boccelli and Luciano Pavorotti. He has served as director of the College of Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra and James Cashman Middle School.
His program has grown from thirty-nine string players in 1997 to an enrollment of over four hundred in 2012.
Cushinery states "Music is not my job, it is my life, it is my passion."
