Masterworks Chorale (GA)
Masterworks Chorale was established in 2003 as the premier choral ensemble of the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts, Newnan, Georgia, with a three-fold mission: to preserve the art of choral singing within the community: to provide performance opportunities for skilled singers: and to bring together those who share the love of singing and a profound commitment to preparing great works of art for performance. We are an all-volunteer chorale selected by audition and offer performances covering the entire range of prominent choral literature. Within our short history, Masterworks has participated in significant events both locally and beyond.
Kathy Bizarth is retired from 38 years of teaching experience with 25 of those years as director of choral music activities and Fine Arts Chair at Newnan High School, Newnan, Georgia. Ms. Bizarth received the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama and has completed graduate work at Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to serving as a choral music clinician/conductor and adjudicator throughout the states of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas and South Carolina, she has also served as District Chairperson for the Georgia Music Educators Association, as All State Organizer, State Choral Chairperson, and on the Executive Board in the capacity of Second Vice President and most recently as First Vice President for Performance Evaluations.
