Founder and Executive Director of the JCM Program, Susan Boettger is an avid proponent of chamber music. In New York, she was a winner of The Juilliard School's Contemporary Piano Competition, where she premiered several works for the New Juilliard Ensemble in the Juilliard Theatre. She graduated from Rice University with a BM in Piano Performance (as a student of John Perry) and a BA in Mathematics. She received her masters from The Juilliard School (as a student of Jerome Lowenthal and Abbey Simon) and doctorate from USC in piano (Norman Krieger) and composition (Morten Lauridsen). She teaches piano at the Orange County High School for the Arts and is Director of Keyboard Studies at Irvine Valley College.
