Matthew Treviño is proving to be one of the most sought after young basses. Noted recent engagements include Colline in La Bohème at Lyric Opera of Kansas City and Opera Carolina, Pistola in Falstaff at Opera Cleveland, Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Caramoor Festival, as well as his Michigan Opera Theatre debut in Turandot and Dallas Opera debut in Salome. Upcoming engagements include Commendatore in Don Giovanni at the Fort Worth Opera, Sparafucile in Rigoletto at the San Antonio Opera, Dick Deadeye in H.M.S. Pinafore at Opera Carolina, and Mathieu/Schmidt in Andrea Chenier at the Nashville Opera.
