Center Joni Y. Fukuda-Prado is currently in her final year of the Doctor of Musical Arts program in Vocal Arts at the University of Southern California where she studies with Cynthia Munzer. Her vocal competition awards included first place in the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, first place in Opera 100, second place in the Orange County District of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, and the Encouragement Award in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Competition. Ms. Fukuda-Prado is a frequent soloist in recital and oratorio and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic with conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen, and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra under the direction of John Mauceri in his final performance of Verdi's Aida. She currently is an Assistant Professor of Voice at Vanguard University of Southern California.
